BOOKMAKER Ladbrokes has reported a fall in the number of over-the-counter bets.
The firm put the 4.9 per cent reduction in the third quarter down to a rise in weather-affected horse racing cancellations and the effect of the Olympics.

Bookmakers are scandalous with the service they provide. They will put Man Utd at 11/8 and Chelsea at 11/4. A draw between them will be 2/1. What on earth is that all about? If one of the teams is really at 11/8 or 11/4, then common sense would say they other team should be around 10/1 or even higher!
I am glad these thieves are losing money! I saw a documentary once how much they influence the media with lies, just so people bet on that lie being true. I am in fact talking about player transfers, the will make up a hypothetical transfer and slap some odds on it, and then papers see this and write some bogus report and the source (who is never named!) is someone from a bookmakers head office!!!!!”
