NARBERTH wing Tom Bonnell was chosen as the Folly Farm player of the month.

He was presented with the trophy by Glyn Williams of Folly Farm after the home match against Carmarthen Athletic.

Backs coach Clive James said: "Tom Bonnell has put in consistent performances during the month in both defence and attack. He has taken his tries well and has displayed enthusiasm on the field.

During a month where there have been a number of indifferent performances, Tom has stood out head and shoulders above other squad members.

''He runs with pace, passion and commitment and does not shy away from the physical side of the game.

''He attends training regularly and shows the same enthusiasm as he does on the field when playing in training sessions.

''He's a good team player and he showed his character last week when the Corus winger was put away. Tom turned and chased the winger more than 60 yards to tackle him and prevent a try.

''He is an excellent team player."
