Bond set for physio at FA HQ
INJURY victim Chad Bond is set to spend a week undergoing intensive physiotherapy at the English FA's headquarters in Burton-on-Trent as he bids to return to fitness.
The 26-year-old Port Talbot striker has been sidelined since sustaining an ankle injury against Airbus UK at the end of last season.
The former Swansea City player made a brief return to training in the summer before breaking down again and deciding to undergo surgery.
Bond is due to see a specialist for an update on his recovery and is then hoping to continue his progress with a week of physio at St George's Park before he can look towards returning to training.
"I'm hoping to have the cast removed after seeing the doctor and then go up to St George's Park for treatment," he said.
"It's been frustrating watching the lads from the stand and not being able to help. I'm looking forward to being able to get back into training and being available to play again."
