FERRIE Bodde's representatives have accused Swansea City of putting a "ridiculous" price tag on the player after Paulo Sousa accused him of lacking respect.

Sousa marked his first day's training as Swansea manager by hitting out at Bodde after he failed to turn up.

The player's camp have responded by claiming Swansea are being unreasonable in demanding £5million for his services — and have given no assurances over when he will return to Wales.

Bodde looks certain to face a fine of up to two weeks' wages after his no-show on the opening day of pre-season.

But even that sanction seems unlikely to have much impact on a player who appears determined to leave the Liberty Stadium.

"Swansea are using bad words against Ferrie and yet they know exactly why he wasn't at training," a spokesman for Bodde told the Post.

"We made an appointment with the chairman, Huw Jenkins, and we thought he would come over to Holland last weekend.

"We spoke to him about that last Friday but the appointment did not happen and now the chairman is unreachable.

"We wanted to speak with him before Ferrie came back to Swansea but that did not happen. At the moment I cannot say when he will return."

“The "dutch roy keane" will soon be off to the premier league where he will have his lack of ability exposed.

Young Jones has left the club, how lomng before evans and mcdonald follow.

Mr Sousa please give these boys a chance, we are fed up of seeing . Overseas players and manages using our club as a stepping stone.

Ferris bodde don't let the door hit you on your way out of the club.

    Good bye and good riddance”

“Its called mouthing off in anger when someone isnt there to reply or explain JIm. Let him return and allow him to tell the club in person what his future plans are. If he wants away then let him go for say 3m but with a knock on clause that the buying club must pay a further 2m in a lump sum . That way SCFC get their 5m valuation and not have a player who doesnt want to be there. But lets see what gets said on his return first . Personaly I think he will want to pull a swansa shirt on asap and play like he did before his injury.”

“Not sure what you mean Andrew. He slaughtered Ferrie in front of the team? After Ferrie didn't show up? I don't understand how he could be slaughtered in front of his team mates when he didn't show up.”

“As quick as we are to be judge and jury, shouldn't we be equally as prepared to accept if there is another side to a story. It would seem as if there has been a lack of communication between the club and PS. Why do we insist on listening to the utter nonsense spouted by player's agents. The only thing Bodde has said about this has been quite positive, I also think it interesting that other players have offered support to Ferrie in terms of his commitment to the Swans.

Perhaps PS needs to show what a great manager he is and apologise to Bodde when he attends his first squad session..........with the squad present, given he reportedly slaughtered him in front of them.”

“Paulo, well done. Bodde doesn't deserve to wear a Swan's shirt. If you can get a half of £3m for him then put him, and his agent, on a Dutch bike up north. You have enough talent in the current squad not to miss him. We did so for 6 months or so last season and since then Joe has developed into a far better player. Having said that, when are we going to hear from you, and HJ, on any new signings? Rather quiet on this front at the moment. All the best. PS. Is Tony, Brynmill, Bodde's agent?”

“i think swansea should let him go as quickly as possible.he is yet another player/employe who has no respect for swasea city football club.we have succesfully got rid of the majority of the two faced rats, now lets finish the job off and start the season with loyal, respectfull, honest, passionate team members.”

“Petey, lol. you dont half talk rubbish. but at least you are consistent! Allen maybe, mcdonald sadly is not even good enough for league one! Thank you Josh for putting some perspective to thiswhole nonsense. when will swans fans stop jumping on the rumourmill and coming torather extravagant conclusions. Is the only paper in Swansea the Sun? Come on guys. Lets no believe everything we read in the press, the very thing guarenteed to stir up a few sales is a misplaced quote from an agent!! give bodde a break. he wasloyal when he didnt go to Derby, has been brilliant when not injured and will be part of a fantastic midfield next season. leave the guy alone!!”

“It`s simple, we want £5million, whatever his agent says is irrelevant, that`s what we want. I would play him, he`s getting paid, if he decides to perform poorly, he won`t get any clubs interested in him, so he has to play well, if he wants to leave.”
