IN the big Burry Port derby in the Llanelli Snooker League first division, Reading Room Blues earned the bragging rights with an aggregate 4-3 victory against Legion Whites thanks to Richard Rees, Tony Josey and Adrian Gower (49 break).

Garnet Lane, Richard Evans and Nigel Summerfield replied.

Ryan Maides and Keith Moore were on the ball for Matchroom A, who lost 5-2 to Llandybie Social A.

Penygroes RFC claimed an excellent 5-2 victory at Morfa thanks to Paul Crippin, Jeff Jones, Chris Waters and Nigel Beynon. Keith Moore and Nicky Hughes replied.

Ian Davies and Steve Greene won for Llanesco B, who went down 5-2 to Snooker World, while Pontarddulais Cons A were grateful to Simon Williams, Paul Doughton, Kyle Steins, Anthony Lewis and Lee O'Neill, all winners in a 6-1 success at New Lodge A.

F. Ellis, B. Evans, D. Jones and A. Cash gave Gorseinon A a 4-3 win against Pontarddulais Workmen's. Danny Carr and Dai Gabe helped take the aggregate for the Bont side.

There was a 4-3 win for Llandybie RFC against New Lodge B, whose winning trio were Mike Woods, Bill Bachelor and Derek Morgan

In division two, Neil Roberts, Gary Hire and Chris Howells gave Burry Port Reading Room Reds a 4-3 win at Bryn & Trallwm, whose winners were Darren Evans, Craig Williams and J. Curtis.

Alex Dickie starred with 23 and 36 breaks plus a 53 clearance as Cross Hands B defeated Carway B 5-2. Nigel Harris, Mark Martin and Jamie Gimblett (32) added wins. Jamie Rees and Arthur Mintoe won for Carway.

Carway A's winning trio in a 4-3 victory against Electric B were Gary Bates, Richard Rees and Mark Rees.

Dale Evans, Scott Ellerton and John Lewis replied.

Peter Rowlands provided Llanelli Cons A's solitary win as they crashed 6-1 to visiting CGMD, while Lyn Morgan, Roy Foster, M. James and A. Pritchard were on top for Cross Hands A, who won 5-2 at Pontyberem Workmen's.

Kev John, Joe Phillips, Mike Rees and Viv Roach gave Llanelli Cons B a 5-2 success at Upper Tumble Blues, for whom Ian Tinnuche and Richard Davies struck.

In the third division, Chris Oag, Callum Dann, K. Leaf, D. Thomas and R. Davies steered Burry Port Legion Reds to a 6-1 victory against Llandybie Social B.

Jay Mainwaring and Tony Rees were on song for Upper Tumble Reds, beaten 5-2 by Pontarddulais Cons B.
