Birchgrove man seen performing sex act towards dog walker
A BIRCHGROVE man has admitted exposing himself and performing a sex act while standing in the ground floor window of his home to the same dog walker twice in two days.
Colin Crawley, aged 58, was spotted by a female dog walker as she passed his home at Cwrt y Fedw on October 8.
Prosecutor Jonathan Coombs told Swansea Magistrates’ Court that the woman was passing the house when she could see the ground floor curtains had been pulled apart by about two foot.
“Something didn’t feel right and she could see him standing looking at her and he was not wearing any clothing on his lower half,” he said.
The woman saw Crawley pleasuring himself whilst watching her.
Mr Coombs said the woman hurried home, “not believing what she had seen”.
After this incident she did not make a complaint but two days later he did the same again so she contacted police.
“On October 10 the woman was passing the property and again saw the same thing as she had in the past,” said Mr Coombs.
Police went to Crawley’s home and arrested him.
“He admitted he had been doing exactly what the complaint described. He said he never intended to do her any harm and it was not malicious”.
Crawley has a previous conviction for a previous matter, the court was told.
Darren Davies, representing Crawley, asked magistrates to order a pre-sentence report on his client before he is sentenced.
“I’d suggest you would seek a full written report to deal with risk and because in this case it’s the same victim,” he said.
Magistrates agreed and asked the probation service to interview Crawley.
They gave Crawley, who admitted two charges of exposure, conditional bail until his sentencing hearing, which is due to take place on November 14.
