Big win as Llanelli get some welcome action
AFTER three weeks without a game, Llanelli RFC got back into action against Championship side Bonymaen on Saturday in a friendly at the Swansea side's Parc Mawr ground.
Both sides and referee Andrew Davies contributed to a fast and open game of rugby, which Llanelli won 54-6.
Llanelli full-back Dale Ford opened up the home defence with a 50-metre burst after just two minutes.
Then five minutes later prop Shaun Hopkins crashed over for a try after some good approach work from his forwards.

Bonymaen were struggling to deal with the overall pace of the Premiership team but did put enough pressure on the visitors to force a couple of kickable penalties, which centre Richard Cunniffe goaled.
Wings Tom Bonnell, on permit from Narberth, ran in a hat-trick of tries, as did Kyle Evans, who again looked dangerous every time he received the ball.
Ford finished the afternoon with a 19-point haul from a try and seven conversions in a useful run out for the visitors.
Bonymaen finished well as they defended superbly in the last 20 minutes to deny Llanelli any further points.
Llanelli's next game is a league fixture at home to Llandovery on March 2 (2.30).
