Big clean-up aims to secure park's future
RESIDENTS turned out to help keep their part of Swansea a little greener.
Birchgrove Community Association was given £250 worth of vouchers by Keep Wales Tidy and B&Q.

Part of the money has now been used to spruce up the Parc-yr-Helig park and conservation area.
The event involved clearing litter from the park, which is listed as a candidate site in the Swansea local development plan but which locals feel should be preserved for future generations.
As well as the clean-up, volunteers were involved with building and installing bird habitat boxes.
The vouchers will also help buy bulbs to be planted in Emily Lane next month.
This area, by the site of the Old Terrace Inn, as well as Parc-yr-Helig, has been cleared by local people this year in readiness for further work to take place.
Volunteer Matt Smith said: "Thanks to the generosity of B&Q and Keep Wales Tidy, we are able to carry out wildlife conservation activities to improve this green area in between the local housing estates.
"It's really important the area is improved and saved for recreation, outdoor play and conservation for our children and our children's children."
