Big Lampeter win at St Dogmaels causes a stir
HEADS were turned when the score came through from the School Field in St Dogmaels where champions Lampeter Town romped to a 5-1 win.

Afterwards the delighted boss said: "St Dogmaels is a difficult place to come, but we played good football and I think we thoroughly deserved what we got."
After two early efforts were ruled out for offside, the visitors went into the lead before the interval with Steve Lovell's 25-yarder that gave Casey Walters no chance.
Saints strove to get back into contention but Lampeter increased the advantage when Chris Lovell broke down the left and fired past Walters.
The Greens got back in the picture when Chris Thomas blasted a spot-kick into the top corner.
But despite a spell of Saints pressure, Lampeter regained their two-goal advantage when Jason Jones left two would-be tacklers in his wake before netting with aplomb.
In the final quarter the visitors twice caught their opponents on the break, Luke Lovell and Mark Rivers finding the net.
Impressive performances had seen New Quay open the season with three wins on the bounce and they were favourites against Aberaeron at Square Field.
But the Black and Ambers, who had picked up one point from their previous two outings, tore up the formbook for a deserved 2-1 win.
The visitors controlled most of the opening 45 minutes with some delightful one-touch football.
But it was goalless at half-time and it was the home side who broke the deadlock when Bryn Evans headed past former Aeron goalkeeper James Shaw.
Midway through the half Steffan Griffiths released Evans and the striker doubled his tally with a fine finish.
Jamie Thompson blasted past Barry Edwards to halve the deficit, but Aeron held out for victory.
High-flying Cardigan Town have a 100 per cent record after three outings, the Magpies winning 4-2 against town rivals Maesglas in an entertaining contest at Maes Radley.
The goal-scoring hero was Simon Wilson, who hit a hat-trick and would have increased his tally but for Blues goalkeeper Graham Keen keeping out a second penalty by the striker.
Maesglas nudged ahead against the run of play after 18 minutes. A misjudged back header by Town skipper Alun Williams left goalkeeper Steve Smith in no man's land and Dai Cole lobbed the ball over him.
The visitors refused to be rattled and persistent pressure bore fruit when Wilson broke through and tucked the ball past Keen.
Soon afterwards the speedy Wilson again left his marker for dead and produced another clinical finish.
Town increased the advantage early in the second period when Osian Williams pierced the Blues' defence and blasted home.
An own goal put Maesglas back in the picture, but with nine minutes left Town's Sam Hall was brought down in the area and Wilson netted from the spot to complete his hat-trick.
Teenage front-runner Trevor Woodgate was upended in the dying moments but Keen denied Wilson.
Promoted Dewi Stars moved into fourth after a 2-0 win over last season's division two champions Llandysul at Tir Dref.
Stars went ahead when 15-year-old debutant Dean Coleman spotted Carwyn Richards off his line and lobbed the ball home.
The teenager then set up Jamie Evans to net and wrap up the points.
Aberporth and Llanboidy shared the spoils at Parcllyn where Martin Owen fired the visitors ahead but Aled Davies squared matters for the Airmen.
It also ended all square between Ffostrasol and Crannog at Troedrhiw. Rhys Evans headed two goals for the home side.
