Big Brother winner Sam Evans visits CYCA centre
LLANELLI'S Big Brother winner Sam Evans paid a special visit to a children's charity to see first hand the good work that they do in the community.
Carmarthenshire Youth and Children's Association (CYCA) welcomed the 23-year-old to their Nevill Street base where he was given a tour of the facilities and got meet some of the children who were playing musical instruments.
Charity chief executive Tracy Pike said they were delighted to welcome Sam to the centre. "Sam is a wonderful role model for all children particularly those with hearing difficulties," Mrs Pike said.
"He has shown a determination to succeed despite being 80 per cent deaf.
"Sam was a kind, considerate member in the Big Brother house and Llanelli should be proud of him.
"CYCA look forward to Sam returning next month to meet our older young people.
"Sam's smile is infectious and we thoroughly enjoyed his visit."
