Beware of charity pitfalls

CLAIRE Morgan of Age Cymru asks "Do you fancy volunteering?" (Have Your Say, March 11) and then says that the organisation is looking for people to become trustees of the charity.

Volunteering for charitable work is very worthwhile and laudable. However, I would caution anyone against becoming a trustee. Should a charity face financial or legal difficulties you could very well find yourself personally liable.
