'Beware the ballet dancer' - says Swans keeper Michel Vorm
MICHEL Vorm has spelled out his admiration for Robin van Persie ahead of their rapid reunion at the Liberty, declaring: "He's like a ballet dancer."
Vorm played alongside van Persie for the Netherlands as they drew 1-1 with Portugal in the Algarve on Wednesday night.
But they will be on opposite sides tomorrow as Swansea City host Manchester United on the opening day of the new Premier League season.
Swansea will set out with the aim of silencing van Persie, last season's 26-goal leading scorer in the top flight.
But Vorm accepts that stopping the 30-year-old will be no easy task.
"The best player in England? Robin van Persie," the Swansea goalkeeper said. "It makes me so proud to be a Dutchman.
"I thoroughly enjoy his style of play — he's like a ballet dancer."
United will be led out by David Moyes for the first time in a league game this weekend, and the Scot has fond memories of the Liberty.
His Everton sides won comfortably on each of their visits in the last two seasons, while Swansea failed to score in their four Premier League meetings with the Toffees.
But Vorm reckons Swansea are a better team now than at any previous stage since they reached the top flight.
"When David Moyes was manager of Everton, Everton killed us a few times," he conceded.
"He knows what to do against us, but he could also see against Malmo that we're not the same side we were last season or the season before.
"I think we showed that to everyone against Malmo."
