Beany's call for recruits
ORANGE crusader Captain Beany has devised a new education scheme along with his new assistant — Toastee.
The Port Talbot charity champ said he wanted to visit primary schools in the area as a role model to get youngsters to become involved in a reward scheme he has created.
-

Their mission — if they choose to accept — will be to complete 12 good deeds and then they will be a member of Captain Beany's Beancaneers Academy.
"I had been pondering with this idea to encourage kids to do good deeds, and I think this would be a great incentive," he said.

"If they complete the tasks they will receive a signed Certificate of Achievement award, a signed fridge magnet, and a trophy.
"I also have another educational outlet with an adoptive sidekick named Toastee who shall accompany me through my school visitations."
The dedicated fundraiser said he was also in the process of writing a children's picture book and DVD to promote his new fun education scheme.
