JOHN Toshack declared himself satisfied with Wales's 2-0 win over Liechtenstein which wrapped up their World Cup qualifying campaign.

Goals in each half from David Vaughan and Aaron Ramsey settled the contest in Vaduz.

Wales boss Toshack said: "I think we deserved to win and maybe we could have had a couple of goals more. I'm pleased with the result.

"We created six or seven good chances, took two and overall I think it was a well-deserved result.

"I thought we gave the ball away at times when we shouldn't have. Quality-wise we weren't as good as we should have been but I thought we set about our task well. I couldn't fault the players for that."

Of his new-look strike pairing — Jermaine Easter and Simon Church — Toshack added: "Jermaine could have had two or three goals and Churchy worked very hard."

Wales defender James Collins added: "It's always good to win the game. I'm not massively happy with the performance but it's tough coming to a place like this and we're happy to win."

“ALIENATED SENIOR PLAYERS, who do they think they are!!! Were they playing for their country or their own egos`, get real. Wales underperformed with Hughes and all those alienated spineless senior players.”

“There can't be many international managers who would say they were "satisfied" by scoring 2 goals against Liechtenstein. Toshack himself said he's been sacked 4 times in three countries, there's a reason for that! He alienated to many senior players when he took over, had to blood young players before they were ready and no matter what some people say he has not done a remotely good job for Wales. When people turn round and say we lost but played well and are satisfied with that it just proves the lack of ambition. Wales have some decent players now, but they will never qualify for any major tournaments until they get rid of Toshack. Ever since he's been there he has been telling us what he's going to do and still we're uncompetitive. We need a proven international manager and that is something that Toshack is not, or ever will be.”

“John Toshack your country no longer needs you.
This may sound cruel but that is the football world today.
Your legacy is the foundation of youth now established in the international arena.
Now they are "coming of age " and need a new leader,a new inspiration and a new tactical approach.
The F A of Wales must cast their net far and wide and be bold just like they nearly were when Brian Clough was being courted.
And while they are doing this an overhaul of the commitee members would not be amiss.”

“I can`t think of too many managers who could have done any better during this campaign than tosh. It will be nice to use the same 13/14 players for run of games. The England side is usually the same 13/14 all way thru. We must have had to use 50. I believe if Toshack had been manager when Hughes was we would have qualified. Bring on the next campaign and let`s have a bit of luck on our side. For a small country we have a very good youth set up and the future is very exciting. In the next 2 yrs the Millenium will be packed to rafters again mark my words.”
