Battling Treforus edged in a thriller
THE West Glamorgan Netball League battle between division one sides Milford and Treforus B turned into a tight affair.
Treforus have had a successful season, being in second position for most of the season.
Recently, however, Pontardawe A have taken over the spot behind Paragons A, who are still sitting comfortably in top place.
The match was very important to Treforus B, but it was a low-scoring game with only two goals to each team during the first 15 minutes.

But Milford gained the initiative in the second quarter and at half-time led 9-4.
It could have been a bigger difference, but Treforus's circle defence of Lowri Holborrow and Beth Mason did an excellent job of preventing the opposition, while shooters Mel Barry and Angharad Morris took every opportunity they had.
The difference of five goals remained going into the final quarter.
Treforus B managed to claw back some of the deficit in the final quarter, but Milford held on and took the match 22-20.
The two points Treforus earned kept them in third position, with five points taking Milford to joint fourth.
