THE Charlie Morgan kicking incident during the Swans home semi-final against Chelsea has kick- started a worldwide Twitter trend for a Scottish band called Ballboy.

Morgan caused a stir of his own last week following an altercation with Blues player Eden Hazard which led to a red card and FA charge of violent misconduct.

The Edinburgh- based band's name has been trending on Twitter since the incident and lead singer Gordon McIntyre has vowed to record a tribute single for 17-year-old Charlie.

Gordon tweeted: "After all these albums and hard work, turns out I just needed to let a #cfc player boot me in the ribs to get trending. This could be our big break. Sorry for the lad, of course, but well done for taking one for the cause."
