THE Badger Trust has applied to the High Court for permission to appeal against the rejection of its challenge to the Assembly Government's planned badger cull in West Wales.

The trust had appealed to the Court of Appeal questioning the legality of the Assembly decision to cull badgers in a pilot area in north Pembrokeshire.

A court sitting in Swansea in March refused to quash the Minister's decision.
