WM MORRISON: The supermarket chain which runs an outlet at Morfa suffered a 2.1 per cent drop in like for like sales in 2012. Morrisons chief executive Dalton Philips said: "The sustained pressure on consumer spending was reflected in our like-for-like sales performance, which was not as good as it should have been."
HOME RETAIL GROUP: The Argos and Homebase parent company saw sales grow by 4.3 per cent at its catalogue arm to £501 million for 2012. Sales at Homebase fell by 2.8 per cent to £191 million over the past 12 months.
BARRATT HOMES: The house builder is looking for further support from the government ahead of next week's Budget. Barratt South Wales sales director Richard Lawson said: "We would welcome any Budget measures to streamline the release of public sector land and those which increase the confidence of both lenders and buyers."
JD WETHERSPOON: The pub chain's latest results were due today.
