DEDICATED members of the Port Talbot lifeboat station have been recognised for their commitment.

A dozen of them were presented with the Queen's Jubilee Medal, while five received RNLI long service awards.

The presentations were made by Lord Lieutenant of West Glamorgan Byron Lewis during a ceremony in the station at Aberavon Beach.

Long service awards were made to crewman Lee Worth, who has served for 20 years. He received a long service badge and framed letter of thanks.

Station treasurer Kerry Davies, who has served for 26 years, received a long service badge.

Crewman Clive Morris, who served 23 years, received an RNLI certificate of thanks, as did shore crew member Hywel James (16 years) and crewman Ronald Jones (28 years), whose certificate was received on his behalf by Julie Jones.
