Auction to raise funds for Pembrey School
SIGNED boxing gloves, Stereophonics memorabilia, Scarlets tickets and more are all set to benefit pupils at Pembrey School.
The PTA is holding an auction at the Ashburnham Hotel on October 23, and organisers including chairwoman Pauline Thomas have sourced a wide variety of prizes for lucky bidders to get their hands on.
These include boxing gloves signed by Nicky Piper and Steve the Cinderella man Robinson, signed Donny Osmond and Stereophonics memorabilia, and a signed photo from Blue Peter's Helen Skelton.
Alongside that, art enthusiasts will also get the chance to buy an original oil painting by Mark Cox, prints by John Wynne Hopkins or attend photography sessions.
While Scarlets fans can get their hands on tickets, and parents can treat their little ones to days out at Folly Farm, Heatherton, Anna's Welsh Zoo, Play King, Blue Lagoon and more.
Vintage tea for two at Stradey Park Hotel and carvery for two at the Ashburnham are also up for grabs.
All funds raised during the evening will go towards the school.
Mrs Thomas said: "We hope to raise as much money as possible.
"The money will help us to buy extra things for the school and the children."
During the evening there will also be children's entertainment, a fancy dress competition, face painting and crafts.
Mrs Thomas added: "There are not only going to be items on auction, it will be a fun night for the children too as well as the adults."
Admission to the evening is free and bidding starts at 5.30pm.
Those who wish to bid but can't attend can email email@example.com by 6pm on October 22.
