Attempts to rekindle relationship failed, court heard
A WOMAN who breached her restraining order by spending the night with her ex-partner has been given a community order by city magistrates.
Caroline Crouch, aged 44, of Powys Avenue, Townhill, was not allowed to contact Michelle Lewis an order was made by magistrates in March this year.
On September 30, the pair spent the night together to see if they could rekindle their relationship.
The next day they went to a pub in the Hafod area and Miss Lewis told her former partner she did not want them to get back together.
As they left the pub Crouch followed her down the street and persistently tried to contact her.
She admitted causing harassment to Miss Lewis by breaching the order.
Simon Howell, for Crouch, said his client, who has mental health issues, would be "devastated" if she was sent to prison.
Magistrates imposed a community order including supervision.
