Attack after hospital row
A WOMAN assaulted her partner after he decided to end the relationship when she failed to visit him in hospital.
Rachel Stacey, aged 32, from Harbour View in St Thomas, assaulted her then partner Alfryn John Nunn on August 23.
City magistrates were told the couple had been in a relationship for 18 months but there had been "clear issues" between them with previous allegations of assault being made between both parties.
He had been in hospital in the lead-up to the incident, which took place on August 23, and she had not gone to visit him.
Prosecutor Alison Bray said: "He wanted to end the relationship and he didn't see a future in it."
Around 12.30am he heard a tapping at his window and saw Stacey outside.
He let her inside and she began to shout and scream at him. He picked up his phone to call police but she became "clearly agitated".
She then lunged at him and stuck her fingers inside his mouth, scratching him.
He tried to pull away from her but she dug her nails into his arm before punching him a total of three times.
Stacey will be sentenced next week. She was given conditional bail.
