Athletic unbeaten on their trip west
CARMARTHEN Athletic Under-8s travelled to Aberystwyth with a small squad of players yet came away undefeated.
The first game against Aberystwyth saw the home side take an early lead with the Athletic struggling to come to terms with the conditions.
The Athletic went into the
interval trailing by four tries to two.

The second half saw the Athletic come back into the game and take the lead for the first time, using the full width of the pitch to run in some well-worked tries.
Aberystwyth ran in a late try to level and the game ended in a 5 -5 draw.
Athletic tries were scored by Steffan O'Leary (3), Carwyn Axford and Aaron Edwards.
The second game saw the Athletic take on Llandovery. The Athletic's strong defence came to the fore and take control of the match.
Llandovery struggled to come to terms with some good tagging from all players in the Athletic team.
An excellent all-round team performance saw the Athletic run in several tries, displaying some good examples of putting the player away with fine passing.
The game ended in a win by five tries to two for the Athletic. Tries came from Steffan O'Leary (4) and Aaron Edwards.
