Artist helping to give students a showcase
AN artist from Neath is helping pupils in London showcase their talents on stained glass.
Gareth Lye, 40, is giving life to designs by year 9 pupils at Haverstock school in Camden.
-

The artist, who studied at Swansea university, has been commissioned by Shaw healthcare to take part in a stained glass window project for a new care home opening in 2013.
The pupils will draw designs that reflect Camden life and the area's history. Mr Lye will then reproduce the images onto stained glass.

Mr Lye plans to install the four panels in the cafe area of Shaw healthcare's new 60 bed care home and 35 care apartments.
Mr Lye said: "I'm delighted to be asked by Shaw healthcare to work on this project. My work usually sees me design, make and install the stained glass, so it will prove an interesting challenge to translate their designs and help bring them to life."
