Archaeology Day to uncover Carmarthenshire's history.
A DAY of illustrated talks and exhibitions focusing on Carmarthenshire's heritage will be held next month.
On Saturday, March 2, an Archaeology Day will focus on the county's history at the Halliwell Centre at Trinity Saint David's Carmarthen campus, with talks from Dr Eurwyn Wiliam, Rod Bale and Ed Davies, who will talk about recent excavations on the earlier garden at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.
Duncan Schlee will uncover the history of the Black Mountain lime industry and James Meek will bring everyone up to date on the current archaeological projects in the region, with community archaeologist Menna Bell looking at ways everyone can get involved.
A range of exhibitions will also be on show from groups across Carmarthenshire. The event is supported by Cadw.
