Detective constable Jason Herbert of Swansea Central CID said: "The female victim was walking down Llangyfelach Street towards Pont-y-glasdwr Street when she was approached by a man who indecently exposed himself.
"Officers have now released a CCTV image of male who they wish speak with in connection with the incident.
"We would very much like to speak with this man, and we are appealing to anyone who can help us to identity him to come forward."
Detectives have previously released a description of a man they want to talk to in connection with the incident.
He is described as white, aged in his 30s, and with dark brown hair. He was wearing a navy blue coat and tracksuit.
The indecent exposure happened just after 8am on Tuesday, May 1.
Speaking to the Evening Post days after the incident, the mother of the victim said: "She was terrified at what happened — and now she says she feels very ashamed.
"I don't want another daughter and mother to go through what we are going through.
"It is horrible — my daughter has been left afraid to go out.
"I hope someone will have information about the person who did this — I would urge anyone who knows anything about the person responsible to tell the police," she added.
Meanwhile police continue to investigate other similar incidents occurred in the Cwmbwrla area.
In January a man approached a 28-year-old woman and exposed himself opposite the Boots store on Carmarthen Road, Cwmbwrla.
That suspect is described as white, aged 25 to 35, 6ft tall, and of a stocky build, and with dark brown, cropped hair.
A month earlier a man indecently exposed himself to a 31-year-old woman who was standing at a bus stop on Carmarthen Road near the Gatehouse pub.
The suspect in that incident is described as white, with an "Eastern European appearance", in his late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall, of a stocky build, and with dark brown cropped hair.
Police say both the victims in the earlier incidents were left upset and shocked.
