Appeal made over Gypsy site refusal
AN appeal has been lodged with the Welsh Housing Minister after the local authority refused plans for a Gypsy site in Swansea.
The scheme, which has been earmarked on land at Drummau House in Birchgrove Road, Swansea, includes using the land for four Gypsy pitches.
Under the proposal there are plans for further pitches along with utility/dayrooms for travellers to use.
The scheme was put forward by Mervin Thomas and was rejected by Swansea Council.

“Has anyone got any information whats happening about the temporary camp , currently under development next to the park & ride site?
It looks as though the scheme has been abandoned.”

“Well done Swansea councillors. it is about time we showed some "back bone"against these travellers who just show total contempt towards the well being of our city.
These travellers have proved that they cannot be trusted to treat our city with any respect.”
