Amputee cyclists to cycle length of Wales
AN amputee cyclist from Llanelli is in the saddle for a unique challenge.
Wyn Jenkins has teamed up with Margaret Biggs to ride tandem down the vertical axis of Wales as part of the Douglas Bader Foundation's 30th anniversary fundraising programme.
Setting off on Friday, April 12, the route of 200 miles, from Holyhead to Mumbles, is expected to take the pair an estimated four days to complete.
Mr Jenkins said: "It sends a powerful message to other amputees that this is an activity that is very inclusive. We already have three lower limb amputees who have joined since we started the club just over a year ago. Our members are very supportive."
