Ambulance service introduces cutting-edge command support vehicles
CUTTING-EDGE vehicles to help manage major incidents have been introduced into the Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) fleet.
The two command support units, costing £450,000, will deal with things like large-scale flooding, chemical incidents and serious transport collisions.
Each vehicle can accommodate up to five staff.
Patrick Rees, of the WAS Trust, said: "They will play a crucial role in the support of our incident commanders, who are tasked with making sometimes very difficult decisions in challenging circumstances."
