VOLUNTEERS are needed to help raise awareness and understanding of dementia in Swansea.

There are currently more than 7,000 people living with dementia in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend with the number set to dramatically rise.

Alzheimer's Society is looking for people who are passionate about championing the rights of people living with dementia to join a local campaign and media group.

Alzheimer's Society campaign and media groups campaign on a range of issues affecting people with dementia including improving quality of care in hospitals, care homes and at home but more action is needed at local level.
