WALES have been dealt a double injury blow after Alun Wyn Jones and Josh Turnbull were both ruled out for the remainder of the autumn series.

Ospreys lock Jones went off with a shoulder injury during the first half of last Saturday's 26-12 defeat to Argentina, while Scarlets back-rower Turnbull damaged his knee ligaments in the same match.

No date has been set for Jones's return and Turnbull will miss a minimum of four weeks. Both players will miss Friday's match against Samoa as well as the following clashes with New Zealand and Australia.

There is some encouraging news for Wales, with Ospreys centre Ashley Beck and his regional colleague, flanker Ryan Jones, returning to full training.

Those two are set to be available for the Samoa encounter, while the Welsh medical team are still assessing centre Jamie Roberts as he recovers from mild concussion.

It seems unlikely, however, that his midfield colleague Jonathan Davies will be back this weekend as he is still unable to train fully because of a groin injury.

Wales have not yet called up any replacements for Jones or Turnbull. They announce their team to face Samoa tomorrow.
