Airshow return welcomed by tourism bosses
HOPES for a successful air show in Swansea later this summer are flying high.
People and businesses across the city have said they cannot wait for the return of the Wales National Airshow, which takes off on July 11 and 12.
The event, which is returning to the city after a two-year break, will feature Army, Navy and Royal Air Force aircraft displays above Swansea Bay, including the world-famous Red Arrows, and an expected appearance by the Eurofighter Typhoon, with its roaring Mach 2 engines.
The event, announced this week, has already been welcomed by Tourism Swansea Bay as a significant boost for the city's tourism sector.
And the West Wales Chamber of Commerce has said its arrival will provide a welcome financial injection during difficult economic times.
President Stuart Taylor said: "This news is particularly welcome at a time when we are looking for good news to balance some of what we have all been going through."
