“I wish Vueling had carried 50 million passengers from Cardiff. We would then have a decent range of destinations to choose from, rather than traipsing up to Cattleworld, at Heathrow and/or Gatwick !”

“@ siarad2, I think you´ll find that Vuelling flys to many more cities than you have listed. Visit their website and you´ll see.”

“The article is ambiguous & badly written.
Given the many operating bases etc I doubt 50m in total were carried, particularly from Cardiff with a passenger capability of 2m a year.
Operating bases:
A Coruña, Bilbao, Ibiza [seasonal], Madrid, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Paris-Orly, Rome-Fiumicino, Seville,Toulouse, Valencia.
Hubs Barcelona
Focus cities
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol
From ALL of these it carried just under 11m passengers last year & in the past 5 years about 40m total.”

“It's quite clear, you obviously are not use to speed reading. Try it peter, you'll soon be up to speed.”

“Neathboy234
No, it doesn't, but the article is either poorly written or it a direct copy of a press release - I suspect the latter. It could be read to mean that 50 million passengers have been carried from Cardiff because that is the only reference to an airport. The Post was obviously looking for a few column inches to pad out the paper”

“I bet they haven't carried 50 million passengers from Cardiff - the report is a little misleading methinks. Probably a press release that has made the Evening Post”
