Agency warning as flood risk spreads across Wales
Residents across Wales are being urged to be alert for possible flooding this weekend as heavy rainfall and high tides are forecast.
A band of persistent heavy rainfall, initially forecast to mainly affect southern and western parts on Friday, is now expected to affect mid and north Wales as well.

The rainfall is likely to ease over Saturday and Sunday but high tides pushed by strong winds could cause a further risk of coastal flooding, particularly along the south west Wales coastline.
Agency officers warned that with land saturated from last month’s heavy rainfall, any further rain could quickly find its way into rivers and streams which could lead to flood alerts being issued for rivers across Wales.
