Two airlifted to hospital following A40 accident near Bancyfelin
A MOTHER and baby were airlifted from a field this morning, after a single-vehicle accident west of Carmarthen.
The Renault Megane was travelling along the A40 between Carmarthen and St Clears, near the Bancyfelin junction, police said.
Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the incident at 10am, and a spokeswoman confirmed the road remained open.
"The vehicle was in a field after coming off the road," she said.

A spokesman for Wales Air Ambulance said the crew was called out because of the patients being in a "difficult location for access by land ambulance".
"The mother had sustained leg injuries, but the baby was medically fine," he said.
"Helimed crew handed patients over to the land ambulance who then took them to Glangwili Hospital."
