Adoption advice on offer
PEOPLE living in the upper Swansea Valley who are considering adopting can get advice during National Adoption Week.
Powys Council's adoption service is looking for families for a number of children across the county including siblings groups, toddlers and older young people who are all eagerly waiting for new families. And they will be visiting Ystradgynlais Library next Thursday, November 7, to provide information and advice.
Karl Sephton, adoption team manager, said: "Don't think that we will turn you down because you are aged over 40, don't own your own home, already have children or are not in a relationship. What we really need are people who can offer a child or sibling group a loving and supportive family for life."
The visits runs from 10am to 12pm
