Adam Jones in frame for Six Nations' bauble
ADAM Jones stressed the claims of his three Welsh rivals after being named with them on the shortlist for the Six Nations player of the tournament accolade.
The Ospreys' man had an outstanding campaign himself, recovering from a tough day at the office in Paris to dominate scrum battles against Italy, Scotland and England and spur Wales to the title.

But he went out of his way to laud the efforts of Mike Phillips, Dan Biggar and Leigh Halfpenny, the three Welshmen who are with him on the 15-strong list.
"In Wales the half-backs always have a lot of flak to contend with, but they were both excellent in the tournament," said Jones.

"Mike came to the fore last weekend. People are saying he's a big-game player, but we all know how much class he has.
"Leigh has been brilliant, too.
"He's quiet and doesn't say a lot, but he's also very assured and a fantastic player whose goal-kicking is out of this world.
"He's excellent, a shoo-in for the Lions."
Jones isn't big on self-praise and he confined himself to saying how pleased he was to have received a nomination for the prestigious bauble.
"I'm chuffed: shocked, but chuffed because I haven't been nominated before," he said.
"I'll have to start tweeting to get support for myself!
"But the other boys have great cases."
