DRAMA students in Llanelli had a lesson in life on the stage when an actress returned to her former school.

Katherine Jones visited Coedcae School yesterday to speak to budding actors and choir members about her career and how she landed a leading role in Mal Pope's Cappuccino Girls.

She told the youngsters how she first realised she wanted to act after appearing in Coedcae's performance of The King and I. Drama teacher Kathy Moynihan said: "It was such a great experience for the pupils — Katherine gave lots of advice, and told the pupils all about the realities of acting. She even helped us with some ideas for our performance in our Christmas concert."
