Actress Melanie Walters waltzes off with the title at smash-hit event Strictly Swansea
YES, it was about the cha, cha, cha! And yes, there was a foxtrot or two and a waltz in there as well.
But it was the blood, sweat and blisters that many of those who took part will surely most remember.
Eight hot-to-trot amateur dancers dazzled the crowds at the Post's Strictly Swansea show which wowed hundreds at the city's Oceana nightclub.
Familiar local faces, from restaurateurs to DJs, hair salon owners to singers, had been discovering muscles they didn't know they had, in preparation for the big charity dance-off, aided by experts from Demarco's Dancing School.

And it was Mumbles-based actress Melanie Walters who was the ultimate winner, thanks to a sparkling waltz.
Competition was stiff, particularly from runners-up Lara Johnson and Tara Hammett who joined her in a jive dance-off, said producer Brian Brown.
"It was a fantastic night,'' he added.
"Melanie came out and wowed the judges with a waltz and her show dance.
"Mind you, there were others very close behind her and doing very well too. And as a night of entertainment, it was fabulous for Swansea."
He said the enthusiasm of the dancers and their experienced partners had more than been matched by the audience.
Melanie's prize was £3,000 for her chosen charity the British Heart Foundation. The seven other competitors got £300 each to give to their good causes.
"The crowd was marvellous. They really got behind the performers. The atmosphere was almost like a Swans game: it was incredible," he added.

“I just knew she would win dancing with Mario. He shouldnt have been dancing really, she had an unfair advantage.”
