Actors wanted for show
A 1960s classic gets a reworking from Swansea Amateur Operatic Society in March next year, and the group is on the look-out for some actors to step up for the show.
Billy, based on Billy Liar by Keith Waterhouse, tells of a lad whose humdrum existence is made tolerable by a rich fantasy life which puts Walter Mitty in the shade. But when Billy's real life and his fantasy life collide, things get a bit tricky.
Swansea Amateurs are holding open auditions for the show from 7pm on Thursday, November 1 at their HQ on Mount Pleasant Hill.
For copies of the audition pieces drop in to a rehearsal there any Tuesday evening.
