Accusation of threat with knife
A TOWNHILL man has appeared in court charged with possessing a knife in a public place and using it to threaten a man.
Adrian Pitman, aged 43, of Ceiriog Road, appeared from custody at Swansea Magistrates' Court.
He pleaded not guilty to possessing a bladed article, namely a folding pocket knife, in a public place without lawful authority.
It is alleged that, on September 6 at around 8pm, Pitman used the four-inch knife to threaten a man during an incident on Woodfield Street in Morriston.
Prosecutor Helen Edwards asked magistrates to decline jurisdiction and send the case to crown court to be heard.
Magistrates agreed and granted Pitman conditional bail to appear at Swansea Crown Court later this month.
