A NEW arts academy has been launched at Carmarthen's Trinity University by former MP Adam Price.

Mr Price, along with vice-chancellor Dr Medwin Hughes, launched CREA — the Creativity Europe Academy — which will be supported by the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David — as the town university will be known from September 1.

The National Trust is also supporting the scheme.

The newly-launched arts academy aims to establish an internationally recognised centre for the study, development and application of creativity.
