Aberavon AM David Rees urges people and businesses to take part in Earth Hour.
ABERAVON AM David Rees is urging businesses and homes in the area to sign up for this weekend's Earth Hour event.
Taking place on Saturday at 8.30pm, millions across the globe will turn their lights off for an hour, to raise awareness about environmental issues.
Mr Rees, who attended WWF Cymru event at the Senedd, said: "I am proud to take part in WWF's Earth Hour and to be part of such a great and inspiring global event. Everyone can make a difference to help protect our planet.
"The energy we use has a big impact on the environment, so I'm pleased that this year's Earth Hour is focussed on harnessing the natural power of the planet with renewable energy, as well as on energy efficiency."
