3 fined £75 for littering
THREE people have been fined for throwing litter out of a car window along the A40 between Carmarthen and St Clears.
The incident started in McDonald's in Carmarthen, when council environmental officers saw the rear passenger and driver throw litter out of the window, but the car drove off before they were approached.
Carriageway
The car continued along the A40 towards St Clears and more litter was thrown out of the passenger window, blowing across the carriageway and into oncoming traffic.

“Well done to the council. But I thought the fines could be a lot higher?”

It's a shame you don't have some jurisdiction around the NeathPortTalbot area! Then you could try having a walk around Pontardawe.
Litter everywhere. I walk my dog there every week, and I'm disgusted by the state of the place. Cans, bottles, food wrappers, etc, etc,...stuff that's been there for weeks and weeks.
Especially near the Argos store, where their catalogues are scattered all over the place, and have been for years. That is a particular bone of contention for me; they pile up their catalogues in their foyer, and the local w*n*ers pick them up and just rip them up and throw them all over the place. And there they stay. For ever. Shouldn't Argos bear some responsibility in this? I know it has been brought to their attention before, but they obviously don't care.
Good for you, Jim Jones! It's just a shame that more councils don't care enough to follow your example!”
