From a four course gala dinner at Gower’s Oxwich Bay Hotel to an indie-disco at Swansea club Sin City there are a wide range of ways to mark the end of 2012.
Somewhere offering the best of both worlds in one place is the Manor Park Country House at Clydach.
The popular hotel is serving guests a four course buffet followed by a helping of top entertainment from their resident DJ and a local celebrity.
General manager Nick Coleman said: “We’ve got a fantastic hot and cold buffet with the chefs on hand to serve it. We’ve got hot joints of roast beef and turkey, glazed ham, salmon and all sorts of delicious things to accompany them.
“After that have got a DJ, and the big draw for us is we’ve got Craig Gallivan the star of the hit Sky 1 show Stella and Footballers’ Wives. He is a fantastic singer and he will be a singing a whole range of stuff from different eras. He is a top guy and he does a great job at getting everyone up and dancing - he will have the dancefloor full believe me.”
The evening costs £50 per person and includes five free drinks. Nick said the hotel’s New Year’s celebration is a tried and trusted formula where people are guaranteed a good night out.
He said: “It is normally a great night. We have had a New Year’s Eve party going back for a long time and it is always a brilliant occasion.”

Towers Hotel is offering a double dose of fun this New Year’s Eve with a two course meal and live entertainment.
Guests can enjoy a cold carvery and a deliciously indulgent choice of six desserts including Bavarian Christmas roulade and winter berry and white chocolate cheesecake.
They will then be treated to a set from local cabaret favourite Ricky G before a selection of top tunes takes them through to the end of 2012.

One of Swansea’s most popular clubs, Oceana is promising to make sure 2012 goes out with a bang.
The venue – which features 12 bars a giant clubroom and retro discotheque - is offering a Las Vegas-themed party starting with a free champagne reception from 8pm-10pm.
There are a range of tickets on offer from the £5 early bird through to the £20 VIP.
3. Where: Manor Park Country House.

Odyssey is offering revellers a range of ways to celebrate New Year with a choice of party packages.
And for a short time only these tickets are half price.
The bronze package will get you entry, three free drinks and a shot. The silver option includes five drinks, entry and a bottle of bubbly for parties of four or more people. And for those wishing to add a bit of extra glamour and glitz to their night there is the gold package which includes entry, five drinks, champagne, photos and a reserved seating area.
At the other end of the scale you can buy advanced tickets for just £2.50, guaranteeing a fantastic and frugal way to see in 2013.

What: A family-friendly meal and disco or a black tie gala dinner and live music.
When: Family event 7pm-1am, gala dinner 7.30pm-2am.

The alternative music club is throwing open its doors on December 31 for a very special double celebration.
As well as marking the end of 2012 the New Year’s Eve shindig is also Sin’s sixth birthday celebration.
The night features something of a ‘greatest hits’ of Sin City regulars with all its club nights making an appearance. Indie-kids can dance the night away to Face Off, drum and bass fans can get their groove on to Sink, while Face Off will give everyone a chance to forget their troubles and dance the night away.
